CORRESPONDENCE TO ELECTED OFFICIALS

Here are some general guidelines to follow when corresponding to elected officials. Contact Jennifer Poulakidas, Senior Executive Director of Government & Community Relations, for additional information.

Members of Congress - U.S. Senate and House of Representatives:
Whenever possible, correspondence should be sent to the District Office address. Washington correspondence should be sent by fax or, if possible, hand delivered. Depending on the number of pieces, hand delivery can be arranged through the University of California Office of Federal Governmental Relations. Many offices now rely on email for basic correspondence. Please check with UCLA Federal Relations for contact information. Packages are not accepted.

White House Correspondence:
Correspondence must be sent via email or fax. Packages are not accepted.

Cabinet Secretaries:
Correspondence may be sent via the USPS. However, time sensitive correspondence should be sent by email, faxed or hand delivered.
